Not exactly. You *stated*:

First of all, who are you to declare that these are
"misfeatures"? Perhaps if you had used these features,
you might understand why they are there and when to
use them. Either way, just because I said Java was
"good", and I do think its good for certain things but
not everything, doesn't give you the right to flame
me. In retrospect, perhaps I should have left out the
word "good" since it seems to have pushed certain
people's buttons. Still, saying a language is "good",
is not the same as calling a person an idiot and
telling them to go learn some more object-oriented
languages for your critique to be worth something.
It was clear to some people that I wanted facts not
opinions, and some people were nice enough to address
the points I brought up one by one. And as a result, I
found out that Cocoa actually did have some level of
support for some of these "misfeatures". Still,
apparently some people feel the need to continue the
debate even though this misunderstanding has been
cleared up.

That's a bad analogy since it's a much different
context, but I sure hope Cocoa programmers don't have
the same mentality as ice hockey players. This just
appears to be an attempt to lay the blame on me.
I felt a need to respond to this publicly since you
CC'ed the cocoa development list. If you want to
continue this debate (which I don't), do it off list
so as to not waste other people's time with this dead
issue.
Thanks.
