Getting rid of line between NSToolbar and textured window

When you create a textured window and toolbar, you get a line between the two (drawn by NSToolbar) that I want ot get rid of. Does anyone know how to approach this. I really don't understand how to extend a class that doesn't publish it's private API, or even if that is the best way. Thanks mucho.

John
