Hi Henry,

Include the .icns file for your document in your project.

Then take a look in your projects "Targets" tab. Look in the "Document types" section.

Add a new document type. Then type your document's extension and the name of the .icns file in the corresponding fields.

Rebuild you project. You might have to log out and in again for the files to get their right icon in the Finder.
