Where did you find that info about NSXMLParser being broken? I seem to
have missed that in my hours of going through that documentation.

It's already here. Check out NSXMLParser. It was added in 10.3
(although the documentation release notes say "Note that at present
namespacing is broken due to a bug in the underlying implementation.
The validation error mentioned in the delegate interface will not be
called in this version of the parser.")
