Getting the current cursor image

Hi folks,

Is it possible to retrieve the current cursor image that the user sees?

I want to have my app run in the background and be able to get the current cursor (which may be set by another app to an open hand for example). [[NSCursor currentCursor] image] only returns the cursor currently set for the app.

It must be possible, somehow, as SnapProX achieves it.

Thanks for any help,

Gary Fielke
