Why is that? I don't see any reasons (aside from the obvious
horribleness of it) why it's an x86 specific thing... It was
certainly a fairly common thing to do back in my 68000 days.
Just try that on Mac in OS X, you'll see immediately ;)
You can do it just fine if you make a few handy Mach calls first.
