Got the point! Does someone know of some article about debugger
protection?
Maybe this might be some good article for MacDev Magazin from O'Reilly.
There exists companies which have code obfuscation products, one is
http://www.preemptive.com/ which recently got a little attention over
something they call "Program State Code Protection" (or PSCP for
short).
I have not been able to find any real info about it other than: "[it
is] changing the code AS IT RUNS to make it harder for a cracker to
know what is actually happening [...]" (from a column by Robert X.
Cringely, see
<
http://www.pbs.org/cringely/pulpit/pulpit20040219.html>).
Self-modifying code would of cause not be very good for non-x86
platforms.
