In Interface Builder, when you select a window and hit command-3, you see a
springs-and-struts set called "Auto Position". What does this do? Thx - m.

It is automatic positioning of the window on the screen, the top left to bottom right staggering of new document windows for example. To see it happen try hit new document in text edit several times to see what happens.
