This cute little game is written in java/cocoa, with source code
available.

Perhaps it's helpful for learning cocoa java?
Be advised that there's a couple small bugs in the alpha-beta routine;
nothing serious.

No books, very few web pages I'm afraid.
Apple has one at:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/JavaTutorial/
chapter01/chapter_1_section_1.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP30001111-CH203
I've managed to create a decent app with what I've discovered so far --
using buttons and textfields. But now I'm trying to figure out Cocoa
drawing using Java. The lack of tutorials would have me pulling my hair
out, if I had any :-)
