Hello,
How does your declaration of variable paneClass look like?
It should be id or a more specific type if you use casting.
isKindOfClass makes sence only for object instances: You have an object
instance and you would like to know if it is of a specific kind.
If a +isKindOfClass were defined then it would take your object
instance as parameter. It would just be a second way for doing the same
thing.

Can anyone tell me why the following would generate the subject

[paneClass isKindOfClass:[NSObject class]
In this case, paneClass comes either from NSClassFromString() or a
bundle's principal class. I can't find a "+isKindOfClass:" anywhere.
I can find "-isKindOfClass:", though. Also odd is that if I close the
project after receiving the warning, reopen it and then build, the
warning no longer appears.
