Copy the folder color label

Hi,
I copy a source folder to a destination folder this way:
I create a new folder then I copy all the files (included the .DS_Store) to
the new folder. So, if the source folder has the blue color label, the
destination get this color label too. I don't know how but this is what I
want.
Now, I set the source folder color to green, I close the source folder, I
re-log-in, then I modify some source file, then I copy again all the
modified files to the destination folder.
Well, the destination folder color label is still blue. It should be green.

How can I copy the color label of the source folder to the destination
folder?

Best Regards
--
Lorenzo
