Because Apple's newer GCC hacks don't exactly go through a rigorous
quality control process. This iss evidenced by the way that certain Apple
Compiler Team members strong-arm the real GCC team. There's essentially no
RFC process for Apple additions, and as a result, you get to be their
guineapig.
