Here is your answer from the archives: http://cocoa.mamasam.com/COCOADEV/2001/08/1/576.php

Many of the introductory Cocoa tutorials explain the use of File's Owner. See for example the http://developer.apple.com/cgi-bin/search.pl? &q="File's Owner"&num=10&lr=lang_en&ie=utf8&oe=utf8&restrict=(cocoa) which includes java examples. There are even figures and screen shots that show connections to File's Owner. This is one of those basic introductory concepts that may seem foreign at first and make a lot of sense later.

Please forgive the newbie question, but I am attempting to figure out how to use IB to build views to attach to NSTableViewItems and then load them. I've attempted to search for the answer to this on the Apple Dev site, but cannot find an explanation or example.

Could somebody please point me towards one?

Thanks,
Roger
