Remount AudioCD by iTunes

  • Subject: Remount AudioCD by iTunes

I understand about the procedure to query CDDB, freeDB and maybe others on the internet to get the sort of detailed textual information that should have been part of the audio CD standard. What leaves me puzzled is what the call is to the system that causes the anonymous CD to be unmounted and replaced by an audio CD whose name and track names
are the information returned by the meta information service. When another process mounts the audio CD it gets that same detailed information rather than the bland placefiller information. Is that call described some place in Apple's developer information?
