Hi there,
First post. I was wondering what anyone thought of the NetSocket class.
I tried OmniNetworking and I don't like it at all. Cocoa is already
opaque enough for me. This NetSocket seems to be simpler and easier to
use, and doesn't require frameworks. Does anyone have any better
recommendations other than NetSocket?
I'm working on a secure messaging/file transfer network program so any
suggestions on that would be nice too. I'd like it to be a
"client-only" network, sort of like Waste's mesh-style network, only
more direct. I was thinking about all of the users creating DNS
addresses that update in realtime, and they just exchange URLs as a
kind of "screen name". I'm trying to make a portable, universal
alternative to AIM. Thoughts?
David
