Hello list,
I would like to know if it 's possible to have code in Cocoa (or any other
framework) that passes the audio output of an application (ie. MAX/MSP) to
OS X's speech recognition. That means that speech won't take it's input
from the line in or microphone but from another app.
This would be the ideal situation because I am developing a system with a
speech recognition component for up to 5 users. What I would like to
achieve is that each user has his own mic and the audio is streamed into
MAX/MSP through a multi-channel audio interface using ASIO or CoreAudio .
>From MAX/MSP each audio stream is routed separately to the speech
recognition. This probably means that there would have to be multiple
instances of the speech recognition app.
There is a MAX/MSP object that alllows to start/stop speech, pass it the
terms to be recognized and get the succes/failure results from it. But
speech still takes the input as set in the speech control pane. Can it go
a step further for my needs?
Greetings, Dieter
