Custom NSPopupButton

Hello and merry Christmas,

I would like to make an NSPopupButtonCell subclass to get a "flat style" NSPopupButton like in Tiger. You can see what it looks like in Apple web site:
<http://images.apple.com/macosx/tiger/images/searchkinds_20040628.gif>

Has anyone tried yet to do this in panther ? where can I find an example of a NSPopupButtonCell subclass, even with an other style ?

Thanks for any ideas.
Romain.
