I haven't actually tested, but I've heard OgreKit is faster (and it's definitely more powerful, as PCRE doesn't support things like named groups or at least one of the other things in OgreKit). Granted, AGRegex is pretty easy to use.

Any ideas? I really wish that there was a robust Obj-C RegEx framework, or at least one with docs in english as i am lowly mono-lingual american.

This doesn't help with your OgreKit problem, but I've used Aram Greenman's AGRegex from http://sf.net/projects/agkit/ in a couple of projects. It's a nice Coca wrapper for PCRE, and the documentation is in English.
