Why? If you don't have admin privileges just drop the app into a
private application folder.

the /Applications folder is set with the wrong permissions and/or

I really hate installers. You never know what they are doing.
Maybe with installers that are not Packages. When it comes to .pkg,
it's really easy to know.
I'll take drag & drop installation over an installer any time. That's
what's Apple recommends too, by the way:

from Apple that are not in a Package or in an Installer?
