What happens before saveDocumentAs?

Hello! Once more as the finishing touches for our new program are
done...
Could anyone tell me what happens with your NSDocument after you select
saveDocumentAs?
It seems that awakeFromNib is called again before the save panel popups
up. At least I get a number of weird redrawing issues. Is readfromfile
called again as well?
Any one can comment on this, or willing to share some experiences with
the same issue?
