Well, if you want semi-automated, you can use my NiftyFeatures
classes, UKUpdateChecker and UKFeedbackProvider, as always available
at http://www.zathras.de/programming/cocoa_stuff.php
There are always the Omni implementations of the functionality as in
their frameworks, although they have dependencies on the frameworks.
