Thanks, but no, that misses the point. I don't/can't know anything about the delegate. In fact, I don't always know that there's a tab view and not like a MOListView (or some other view which removes/inserts visible views from the hierarchy). That's why the super-general idea of just observing + seeing if this one var is changing is appealing.
