problem with buttons and images

I have an application which used to have a button on the main page, I moved
the button to a preferencePane and while all of the functions still work, it no
longer displays the image when you click the button.
If someone could be so kind as to look at the code I'd be greatly
appreciative, I've just about pulled all my hair out trying to figure it out.
I've gone over the NSButton ObjC docs, tried all of the examples and have had
no success, if I move the code exactly as it is back to the main page it all
works fine and I'd really hate to give up on it but I'm at an impasse and need
someone who knows to explain to me why it's not working.
