Hello,

I am completely new to the mac and OS X (Panther).

I have written a plug-in for MS-Outlook that runs on windows, and would like
to create a similar "pluggin" for a mac email client. Among the basic
functionality I would need is to add menu items, linked to
processes/scripts, display data entry pannels, receive new message event
which triggers internal processes/scripts, and iterate over internal email
datastructures such as folder hierarchy, contacts and address books, etc.

Is it possible to do such things with cocoa or with apple script (or
something else) within "mail" or "entourage" or another email client ...

Appreciating your help

Daniel
