Hi !

I am writing an application that should adjust the rendering of its
user interface to the situation it is used in (office / backstage).
I'd be pretty cool to detect this using the ambient light sensors.
I am also interested in programmatically controlling (and locking)
display and keyboard brightness because short changes in lighting
often lead to user irritiation (this is also true of street lights
when using a powerbook in the car).

I am not able to find any documentation or darwin sources on this.

Looking at the BezelServices Login Plugin, I can see that there
is something going on with IOKit Notifications that are handled
in a run loop.

Does some kind soul (Apple ?) know where I could look / whom I could ask ?

Thanks, Bjoern
