AFAIK in this case there shouldn't be a need to encode the objets. A week
reference pointer used temporarily for this purpose should be enough. I do
it this way in my application and I think I remember that even Apple does so
in one of the sample code that should be on everyones harddrive in the
Developers folder. They might have changed the code with the introduction of
the NSController classes. I don't know.
