Hi Brian and Ian,
Thank you for the feedback. Brian is correct - this is not yet
implemented in Cocoa. We do have an outstanding request for this
already, and will get to it as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Kristin

As far as I know, that feature of the Dock has not been implemented
and icons are only supported in other menus, excluding the Dock. I
could be wrong, but I haven't heard mention of it nor seen it
implemented (beyond windows sporting a window icon, which is a Dock
specific feature for their window menu items, and the state icon [the
checkmark])
If it's not been implemented as I believe, file a bug report with
Apple asking them to implement this or extend the APIs. Let them know
you care :) (http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/)

I have read some early posts searching the archives that 10.2 and
earlier didn't support attaching images to menu items when in the
dock menu. I can't seem to get it to work in 10.3 either. Has
anyone else had better luck?
Regards,
Ian
