As you should be aware of by now, you shouldn't use private frameworks and more on point while the headers are 'semi' public (they are in a private framework for a reason) if "someone" gave you access to the @implementation that would be a theft of trade secrets - just because Apple does something cool does not mean the technique/code/etc. is open-source or for any developer to hijack along the way. In code it's simply: PRIVATE_FRAMEWORK != PUBLIC_RESOURCE.

I didn't mean to "steal" anything....

And yes, after looking at Wood's code behind its animating effect, this becomes even cooler, 'cause its really great how it manages to reproduce that effect and get that result. There's a lot of work behind it....
