Hi all,
ObjC-Source.com now has an archive for standard toolbar icons; eg.
'replacement' icons for those icons you're not allowed to copy from
Apple.
-Currently, the selection is very small, unless you want to use a
different "theme", more about that below.
On <
http://objc-source.com/icons.html> you will find the icons.
The purpose of this site, is to make an archive, where you can just
grab icons from, without thinking about copyrights, licence agreements
and all that crappy stuff that we developers don't care about anyway
(eh, right?)..
As you see on the site, there is a list of icon types. The first column
is there only for showing what Apple's icons look like, you can't
download these. The next column contains icons from an author called
Flameia, who contributed with 5 different "themes"; eg. they do not
belong to the system theme, which you've seen already. The last column
is my column; I only have one icon so far, which is Software Update.
I try to get as close to the system theme as I can, without just
copying the icons.
If you feel like contributing, you're welcome, but please remember: By
contributing, you give away your work for free, without asking for any
kind of credits (this is the drawback of my rules).
Anyway, go have a look. If you have any suggestions, please reply in
private, not to the list.
[The original idea for this came from Steve Sheets, so I'd like to
credit him for this.]
Love,
Jens
