Having spent a while looking around the online documentation I have

Indeed. I've been impressed with the amount of quality of material
that's been showing up there of late. I've started browsing
http://developer.apple.com/ regularly just to start seeing the new
stuff going up.
I think those of us internally appreciate the comments. :-)
We've still got much work to do though, and constructive feedback is
always welcome.
When doc pushes happen, I'll post a note here to let folks know when
the updates occur, and a pointer to the Updates list.
Thanks Scott and company!
It is great to have such a direct connection between the community and
the documentation writers and developers at Apple. I have seen the
rather rapid response and improvement over the last several months as a
result. It will make it easier for folks to tackle the big first steps
in learning Cocoa/etc. and smooth the road once the make it over the
hill, this can only be a good thing for the platform.
Keep up the great work, I know it can be tiring and inglorious work but
it is appreciated.
Please put calls out to the community for assistant with coding up
examples, etc. I bet lots of folks want to help out here (I know I do).
