User Setting Primary Identifier in Address Book

  • Subject: User Setting Primary Identifier in Address Book

This may be more a user question, than a developer question, but it affects how my customers use our address book product. How do you set the primary identifier for a property for a person/company in the address book? For example, how to set someones email address to use his Home email address as the default value, vs his work or other email address. I understand how a user sets the Distribution list for a group of mail in the address book (and we use the AVGroupCopyDristributionIndentifier to access this setting), but how does the user set the Primary identifier (which we use the primaryIdentifier call to access)? Is it simple the first item in a list of addresses? Or IM names? Or phone numbers?

Thank you,

Steve Sheets
