I forgot about po in gdb, matchString_ was copied from the class in an
accessor instead of the argument to the accessor. Thanks for your
help.

I am having a problem and was wondering if anyone could give me a
hand. I searched through the archives, and realize that at least once
this has come up before, but there was no resolution.
What I have is an NSString * that is calling rangeOfString: like this
found = [string rangeOfString: matchString_];
However, right at that point, an exception is thrown, complaining
that +[NSString length] isn't recognized. I know that length isn't
there as a class method, but I cannot figure out how to get the
stupid exception to go away. So I figure, someone out there must have
had the same issue and figured out how to get around it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
What do you get from "po string" and "po matchString_" in gdb? One
or the other of them isn't what you expect it to be.
