ByHost Preferences

Hi there,
I'm writing a program that needs to read the screensaver preferences, but
i noticed they are located in a byhost directory instead of the normal
preferences folder and that their file name contains something that
appears to be a MAC address.
is there any routine that can be used to read those specific preferences
without knowing that "mac" address?

thanks in advance,
Ricardo Cabral
