Setting font for NSTextView

I am trying a simple thng, to set the font for a text view in IB, but whatever I do, when I run the application, the font is not what I set it to. I have the text view in a split view with a table view.

But when I save the document, which is the content of the text view, the resulting text file have the correct font. What am i missing here?
