Networking in cocoa

I read a networking article on MacDevCenter.com and now I am completely unsure of how to implement this in my app - very basic and light0weight

Sould I use
- CFSocket or NetSocket subclass found...
OR
- NSFileHandle
OR
- can anyone recommend a good tutorial
