HeaderDoc 8 vs. doxygen

  • Subject: HeaderDoc 8 vs. doxygen

Dear All:

Looks like HeaderDoc is far from dead, despite rumors to the contrary.

http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/ HeaderDoc/ -- last updated 2 weeks ago.

Anyone tried out the new HeaderDoc 8 and/or compared it with Doxygen? How good is the C++ template support and integration with Xcode? Based on your sphere of influence in Mac circles, are you using HeaderDoc or Doxygen? Are they any distinct advantages left to using HeaderDoc over Doxygen, since they both now support Objective-C?

Let the games begin.

Cheers, Glen Low

P.S. I'm currently a Doxygen user and past-Javadoc user, just wondering whether it's worthwhile to "come back to the fold". (Experimented a little with HeaderDoc 7 but it didn't handle C++ templates well.)
