That said - do you have any examples of inspector panels that display
sheets? I can't think of any.
Open Xcode, select a file in the source tree, invoke the inspector,
click the "Choose" button in the "General" pane. An application modal
dialog could of course be used (like everywhere else), but a sheet
seems more appropriate to me here. Others may think differently.
Nevertheless, the sheets are currently not working correctly in the
panels. Unless displaying sheets in panels (inspector or others)
happens to be forbidden, my goal is to figure out an acceptable
behavior in order to submit it to Apple. I won't hide behind the fact
that it is not a widespread practice at this time or that it is a
non-blocking issue.
