I think that kqueue is capable of monitoring a process ID and letting
you know when it exits. However, kqueue is only available in Panther.
You can type "man kqueue" in the Terminal for more information.

Hi,
I was wondering if there was a way to
know when an application quits.
I have this daemon that gets apps to send it information,
and in this cocoa daemon, I want it to observe the process numbers of
those apps.
Is there a way for it to be notified when like safari, mail, etc.
apps quit, (the pid will disappear from ps aux)
and then have it call a CallBack function.
Thanks,
Matt
