i have an application which runs in the background and creates a
NSStatusItem in the menu bar, my question is how do i make it display a
window? i've tried

[NSApp activateIgnoringOtherApps:YES];
[adminConsole makeKeyAndOrderFront:nil];

but nothing happens?
