A quick way: open them with Preview and then export them to a different name
(very important!). It will remove all other stuff around it: resource fork,
etc.
Also, if you decide to use PNG files instead of TIFF they will reduce again.
My images are almost all around 200-600 bytes. Unfortunately, they take all
4K on disk, but for downloads in a compressed disk image it makes a big
difference if you have a lot of them.
