Any help will be very much appreciated, as at the moment it seems as if I have ruined 4 months of work with a few seconds of renaming.

Well, changing everything back will restore things fine, but obviously isn't the answer you'd like.

Basically, PB (and XCode) are real dumbasses about renamed or moved items, as you've just found out. You'll need to go through all their settings systematically and check for any references to the old names.

You can generally reduce the complexity of this process by renaming things inside PB (or XCode), which allows it to at least know where to find the renamed file. Unfortunately that's sometimes still not good enough - it doesn't automatically change some settings, even if it's the one changing the names.
