NSBeginAlertSheet noise

  • Subject: NSBeginAlertSheet noise

I notice that sometimes when I use NSBeginAlertSheet it makes an
alarm sound and sometimes it doesn't. Specifically, when I call it
from an NSFormatter that is verifying the data in a text cell, it
does make the sound. And when I call it from a simple button press
in a window it doesn't. What are the rules for determining whether
it will make an alert sound or not?

Devon
