NSTextView and memory usage

  • Subject: NSTextView and memory usage

I created a NIB-based application with one window, containing a single
NSTextView and one NSButton. It consumes nearly 15MB at launch, with
maybe 300 characters of text displayed. This seems extravagant. Does
NSTextView always consume memory in that quantity?
