Hello...
Ironically, some software to do this was mentioned on Macintouch
today, and the source code is available. I haven't downloaded the
code to look at it yet, but here's the link:

It is a modified version of someone else's code, and there are links
on that page to the original version of the software as well. Between
the two versions you should be able to find something useful.
