Lucky me Hacks support more services than just this ;)
A bit more seriously, I did not test DejaMenu myself, but I have been
told it does not work at mouse push -- I've been told you have to press
a hot key to pop up the menu, and only then you can select commands by
mouse.
You know, from the implementation point of view, that was the hurdle:
it is pretty easy to pop up the main menu programmatically (one source
line, actually ;)); the worst problem was to find a way that a click
*anywhere* would call my code (which contains the mentioned source line
to pop up the menu), instead of activating another application, whose
window just happens to be underneath the mouse cursor.
On the other hand, I've been told DejaMenu does work in Carbon. That is
a strong point for Karl, for my Hacks don't and won't.
