Ladies and Gentlemen,
A message for the list from John Geleynse:
Allow me to interrupt your regular programming for a moment and
encourage you to sign up for WWDC.
We're working hard to make sure the content is top notch and focused
on how you can make your development and apps better, faster, more
efficient, etc. WWDC is *the* place to grow your knowledge of
programming, debugging, and performance tuning on Mac OS X.
And don't just wait for the DVDs (since from year to year there's no
guarantee they'll even appear)... We'll have tons of hands-on labs
where you'll be able to work one-on-one with Apple engineers to either
add support for something you haven't yet adopted (HIView, Carbon
Events, Etc) or get your code debugged, fixed, optimized, or working
on Mac OS X. The practical value of this type of technical assistance
is extremely high. Not to mention the valuable networking you can do
with Mac OS X programmers from other companies, all of whom have
development tips and tricks they're more than willing to share
(maybe).
Sign up today at <http://developer.apple.com/wwdc> (Early registration
discounts end Monday). Send me an email if you do. This is too
valuable an event to miss (If you need me to help convince your
management that this is a valuable event, let me know whom I need to
speak with and I'll give them a call. Seriously.)
