Hello...

You might have already seen the info in the System Overview topic:

MacOS X - System Overview - "Umbrella Frameworks"
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/SystemOverview/Umbrella/chapter_47_section_1.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/20000985

The basic details about how to actually build your own umbrella framework are located in the docs for the Mach-O Runtime:

Tools - Mach-O Runtime Architecture - Loading Code At Runtime
"Packaging Frameworks and Libraries Under an Umbrella"
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/DeveloperTools/Conceptual/MachORuntime/2rt_mach-o_overview/chapter_8_section_4.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/20001296/BABBGHCI

Hope that helps,

Louis

just curious if anyone has seen any good docs on accomplishing this? i know that apple says please do not but we have a need for it, that is unless it is nightmarish...

thanks,
ken;
