I believe MOKit is also based on PCRE, so the same would apply here,

According to the MOKit source, MOKit is not based on PCRE. The README
that comes with MOKit says:
This directory contains the version of Henry Spencer's Unicode-based
Regular Expression library that MOKit builds and uses. It has been
modified from the version found in the Tcl 8.3.2 distribution which
is where I got it. The unmodified source (from Tcl 8.3.2) is
shipped with MOKit in the folder named HSRegexp.

AGRegex is a cocoa wrapper round PCRE.
