I'd suggest anyone implementing a circular slider do similarly. If
you're not as proficient in moving the mouse as a developer who
spends time at the computer for hours each day, it can be *hell* to
be asked to perform a circular motion.
Anybody remember that "volume dial" that QuickTime player came with
when we first got "brushed metal"? Aren't we all happy that we have a
regular slider now?
Personally, the only sensible use of a circular slider is for
entering angles. Though even there, Photoshop's circle-thingie is
much more convenient.
