Hi :)
I have written a plugin for the Apple Address Book and am now after
other people to play with it and report problems :)
The plugin works in conjunction with GPG and GPGME to provide
information on the gpg/pgp keys held by each Address Book user.
Therefore, to be able to test it fully, I would need testers who use
gpg :) Currently, no gpg data is capable of being modified, so there is
no danger of your keys being damaged or anything :)
The other capability of the plugin is to allow setting of
sign/encrypt/mine-use preferences in the Address Book database which I
am hoping the author of gpgMail will support. If not, I'll just have to
write a plugin for the gpgMail plugin ... :) However, just to warn
potential testers, this DOES add a new property - GPGOptions (a
dictionary) to the database, although if you don't set any specific
options for a person it will remain unused :) I wanted to be able to
remove it but the Address Book API informed me that removing properties
is not currently supported. This should have no impact at all on your
Address Book but I did want to mention is 'cos it is currently
non-removable :)
Anyhow, if anyone is interested in playing with this (very much still
early beta) plugin, please let me know by emailing me directly :)
Thanks
Robert
